Suggestions for what to bring to MYPATH
• Yoga mat and accessories like bolsters, blocks, eye pillows (we may be able to provide these if needed)
• Comfortable clothing for workshops and relaxation times. Layers are always a good idea since temps can change a lot in a day. Sometimes folks like to bring a favorite outfit for the dinner and music entertainment on Saturday night. Don't forget swimwear for the paddleboard classes or a dip in the pond!
• In case of rain, bring rain gear, an umbrella, and waterproof boots
• Insect repellent, sunscreen
• Water bottles or your favorite travel mug - "city water" is available in the venue, if you prefer something else please bring it with you. It's also helpful to have your own mug for cacao and tea ceremonies
• Camping gear: tent, tarp, sleeping bag, pillow, blankets, chairs, flashlight; sleeping in your vehicle is fine too
• Extra blanket for under your mat
• Food, snacks, beverages, cookstove (food vendors are on site if you prefer not to cook)
• Towels and toilet items; there are hot showers located in the venue, as well as flush toilets
• Journals, notebooks, pens for journaling and creative writing workshops
• Musical instruments or something to share (ex. favorite poem or reading) for open mic on Friday night; Drums and noisemakers for drum circles around campfires - (a suggestion but not required!)
• Phone or watch to keep you on time for each class or activity (a gong announces when each class is about to begin)
• Camera
• Eye pillows, ear plugs - if needed for a more restful sleep
• Positive energy, openness to try new things and meet new people, the expectation to have an AMAZING weekend!
Cell Service:
Cell reception at the farm is spotty, but most phones work on top of the hill. Internet service is available only at the farm owners' residence and only for emergencies. This is your chance to unplug for a few days! If you absolutely need internet/cell service just ask Brenda or Pete and they'll help you out.
Dog Policy: We strongly discourage bringing your dog to this event. There are several dogs that live on the property and they don't always get along with furry visitors. They are friendly with people, but one in particular is really good at sniffing out food - so be sure to keep all food items put away. If you absolutely have nowhere you can leave your pet for the weekend, please let us know in advance. Service animals are allowed but we do request that they are leashed during classes.
Kid Policy: Children 14 and under are free and are welcome. Please keep in mind this is a farm with inherent dangers; young children should be supervised at all times. There is a playground, plus woods and creeks and a pond to play in (with supervision). Children over 14 are expected to pay admission and a parent needs to sign a waiver on their behalf.
Leave No Trace: Be sure to clean up all campsites before you leave and dispose of trash and recyclables in bins provided by the venue. Any campfires made in grassy areas should be cleaned up; unburned wood and rocks can be tossed into the woods. Be a kind camper and leave the farm better than you found it!
